  1. I didn't recognize anyone's face in the pictures of the world's most richest billionaires, but when i read the article I noticed their names. They have names like Nordstrom (Jacket),Tory Burch (Designer)and of course the popular rich people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. I also think that we have the most billionares out of the other countries mentioned because we have the best economy out of them all. They also say, "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer"

  2. I believe that this article showed us alot about our economy. It showed us that all these rich billionaries have produced something and became prosperous. This has alot to do with economics. I believe that the US has the worlds greatest billionaries because of the economy and wealth made here in the US. This article shows that alot of people worked very hard to become a billionarie. Also, alot of people in the US are buying expensive items and spending money.

  3. On that list in the top 10, nine out of ten are males, all ten are over the age of 50, and half are from the United States. I think it is interesting looking at the different ways people made their billions while scrolling through the list. It ranges from things necessary to make other products, such as steel and coal, and even to something as small as candy. It shows that people can start a business from the dirt up, and that entrepreneurs are important if a business is to prosper.

  4. Carlos Slim and Bill Gates were ranked the top two richest people in the world. I just think that it is funny that these peole have billins of dollors, and that to make the list you need to have a minimun of about 16 billion dollars. I cannot even fathom what 16 billion dollars is. What do you even do with that kind of money? In any event, however, the list shows how amazing economic systems can be. Some if not most of those people came from very little, and then earned the money they made. Granted, some were born into money. However, it is still interesting to see how peole can progress to the point of earning billions.

  5. This article was really interesting to me because I had no idea the U.S.A had many billionaires, many of them started from the bottom working with small businesses but after many years of hard work they are making billions. Other billionaires are born in families that have money, so in retrospect to me it reslly doesn't count because they haven't put any hard work into their business. I feel that this billionaires should give some of that money to charity or people that really need it. I feel like they don't need that amount of money just for themselves.

  6. I found it ironic that most of the people listed were men, and many were of an older age. It also shocked me that the USA's very own Bill Gates was just second on the list which included everyone in the world meaning that Microsoft is truly a huge product. Additionally, our very own mayor was 13 on the list, with a net worth of $27 billion. The USA gets ridiculed and insulted by many other countries, but most of the people on that list were entrepreneurs from the USA and therefore, our people must be doing something right.

  7. After seeing this list and this page i have realized how much control over money one person can have. I aslo see how successful someone could be.. Most of the people on this list were males and i also think that says alot about the world today.. There are some very weathly females as well...

  8. After reading this article I thought it was interesting because I never expected so many billionaires to live in the United States. I also find it interesting that their is men who are listed in the top spots and very few women. I recognize some of the names and I have never realized that the profit they make is so astronomical. It was extremely surprising and makes me wonder what risks did they take to get them to wear they are today.

  9. After reading the list of billionaires it surprised me to see that Bill Gates was not the richest man in the world. It also surprised me that there were not many Europeans on the list considering that most social services are free, therefore Europeans have less expenses to worry about. It was interesting to see how the billionaires have acquired their net worth, not all owned huge corporations but instead were in retail or food services.

  10. After looking at the list of billionaires, it made me smile because a majority of them are from the United States. This shows that anyone with a good idea can become a billionaire and the US government has almost no control of that. American's are hard working people and they put money into the economy. Other than the recent recession and the great depression the US has had a flourishing economy.

  11. What shocked me was how michael Bloomberg was the 13 richest person in the world, a mayor from new york, seems weird. another thing i saw that alot of people on the first page were from the US like bill gates. i thought that donald trump would be up there but he seems poor compared to everyone else, so maybe he should be fired(corny).

  12. After looking at the list of billionaires, I can honestly say that I am surprised that Bill Gates is not the richest man in world. Doesn't everyone use Microsoft for some particular reason? All of them are over the age of 60 except Bill Gates. Half of them are citizens of the U.S.

  13. After reading the list of billionaires , I didn't realize how many billionaires there are in the world. I saw a lot of different Countries have billionaires like Russia, and Mexico I also saw that Bloomberg is worth 27 billion . A New York mayor that shocks me . I thought their would be many Europeans on the list because they don't have a lot of things to worry about . For example , less expenses . Honestly I thought bill gates would be up their , but he isn't . In the article it states "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer". I agree with that hundred percent .

  14. After looking at the billionaires I’m am surprised at how many of them I actually know or herd of. These people have work there whole lives to try and make money and now we see how there work has paid off. I would have never expected so many people to be billionaires in the US or just in general. Seeing how rich some off these people are I think that they could use their own money to help the world or people since I doubt that they need all that money.

  15. The article containing the list of all the billionaires in the world is interesting. I didn't know there were this many billionaires in the world, but even though it looks like a huge list it's actually not a lot of people considering the six billion total on the planet. One thing that was cool to see is that Zuckerberg's net worth is already in the $13 billion range, yet he's so young so his net worth can grow up there in the top 15 or so. I'd say be amuse of Facebook his net worth will end up growing to at least $40 billion.

  16. I thought this article was very interesting. It was nice to find out who in the world had the most money, and what it was from. The person that I recognized the most, was Bill Gates. He was number 2. It is interesting to see what these people accomplished with there life that made them very rich people. This shows how they used money the proper way and the economics in the world to help benefit themselves and potentially better the lives of others.

  17. I thought this article was insightful, i learned a lot about the wealthiest people, where they are from as well as i realized that most of them are older people who earned a lot of money throughout their lives and i didn't recognize that many people on the list i was surprised about who were these people

  18. I think it is pretty obvious for some of the names that are on the list such as Bill Gates, and Warren Buffet. But there are some people who gained there wealth in different ways such as the Mexican phone company entrepreneur Carlos Slim Helu. He for a long time has almost had a monopoly over the cell phone and other device market in Mexico. Therefore the entire markets money goes to him.

  19. Most of the wealthiest top ten are males from united states, nearly all are 50 yrs and older. Some inherited this money and just built upon it-some like Bill Gates came along with no real money just the will and determination to change the world. Its interesting to see how people are able to make millions of dollars, while others are barely eating and surviving. It hold true to the saying "the rich get richer, the poor get poorer".

  20. This article was interesting actually sort of inspirational too. I learned that some of these wealthy people came from nothing and started their work to become something. Now they are considered some of the wealthiest men and woman in the world. Those who came from nothing had the determination to get where they are today. Some of the top ten names I didn't know exactly who they were because they were from foreign countries. But those from the U.S. I know for a fact they always contribute to the economy some how.

  21. This list show people who were filthy rich. I would like to have that much money when im older. They can buy anything they want. It inspires me to try and reach my true potential to be successful. also i don't mean to sound racist but i think that it's kind of ironic that the richest man alive is mexicano, that took me by surprise.

  22. This list just shows working hard and being successful pays off. They did not get to the top of this list by doing nothing. I thought that Bill Gates was the richest man but see that he is not now.

  23. I found this article interesting. Also, I was surprised to see that Bill Gates was not the first man on the list and it was a man from Mexico. Most of these people became so rich off of something they started on their own.

  25. After reading this list, i was shocked by the large amount of billionaires that exist in the world, as well as the ranks of some specific people that caught my eye. However, i was not surprised to see Bill Gates so high up on the list.

  26. In the wise words of my little brother;
"LOOK AT ALL DEM RICHIES!!!! Look at all the people that don't live in America, I bet they ran away so all their billion 'moneys' doesn't get taxed away."
Dedication puts you on that list.. Also inflation might. Someday we'll be saying "A HOT DOG USED TO COST $1.75 BUT NOW IT COSTS $20,000,000!" The same way old people complain about the worth of nickels.

  27. After reading this article I was surprised that Bill Gates was not the richest man in the world I would have never thought that the richest man in the world lived in Mexico and owned a Telecoms company so that was surprising.

  28. Reading the article showed me how many rich people live in the U.S along. Another thing is that Im surpised that Bill Gates isnt number one but instead it is Carlos Slim Helu and his family who.But some of the people on this list didnt work for the money that they have but just inherited it from a relative that has past.

  29. This article was very interesting. It was weird to not recognize one face on the list. I had never expected so many people to be billionaires. It's ironic how mot of the billionaires are men, but women are beginning to rise up. Some billionaires inherit their money and others having been working their whole lives to become who they are today.

  30. i new most ofthe faces on the article because ive studied there successes especially bill gates because i am a big fan of microsoft corporations. some billionairs are just iucky and others aren't. i wasnt surprised that carlos slim helul is the most powerful man because he owns Claro phone company in various countries such as dominican republic

  31. It was really interesting to see all of the people on that list. It was also really interesting to see that number 13 was our own mayor, Michael Bloomberg. Its such a long list and I did not expect him to be that high on it. It was also intriguing to see that a few of them were actually real estate agents, I never really thought of real estate agents as people who could be this wealthy.

  32. I think the article is interesting, I honestly would have never knew that there was that many rich people in the world. To see that a lot of the people i saw on the lists were people that are known here from the united states. Some were from different countries in the world. It relates to our study of economic study because it shows that with free enterprise and economic freedom people can become rich with their business.

  33. Some of the names were familiar, some weren't but when i saw the company they owned it was obvious why they were so rich. Their all lucky people to have that much money and i only hope to get a small portion of that in my life time, but hey Bill Gates dropped out of college and look at him now, one of the top 5 richest people.
